Low-Poly Self Portrait
We have begun to create self-portraits in our Limelight media program so I thought it would be good for me to revisit this project for myself. My original self-portrait used the image trace tool in Adobe Illustrator as the main focus and I added sunglasses to it for a final touch. I always felt this was a sort of "cheat" as I spent very little creative time editing and making the image mine. This time I chose to create a Low-Poly self portrait. I like the geometric feel and bilateral symmetry that this project generates. I feel as though the organic colour pallet that was generated speaks to my outdoor nature as well. I am glad to have learned a new process and hope to make more of these in the future.
The tutorial I followed was from here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0nmI_stsZk
I hope you enjoy the finished project.
